Introducing you to new author Nikki Moore… er, me!

The last few months have been a bit of a whirl. The day job. The kids. Writing… a lot. It’s been great because I like being busy. And of course it’s been very exciting too; I’ve signed my contract for my short story A Night to Remember – described as an English version of The Notebook – and it’s due to be published in the RNA Anthology by Harlequin in February 2014. The full post about that, in case you didn’t see it is here

It was only after putting my name on the contract that something dawned on me. I’m actually going to be published. People are going to read what I’ve written… gulp. Thrilling but scary.

And now I’m going out into the world (albeit in a very limited fashion) – which at various points I’ve doubted would ever happen – I’ve given it lots of thought and decided on a new pen name. A bit of separation from the day job will be good and I’d also like to give a nod to my roots (my maiden name is Moorcroft).

So from now on I’m Nikki Moore. You’ll notice the blog address has changed as have my Fb, Twitter etc accounts;

@NikkiMoore_Auth and

But it’s still me – please keep following!

The last few years of blogging and writing and pursuing publication have been fun and nerve-racking and hard work. I got there in the end but really and truly I’m just about to take my first proper step on the road. There’s lots left to do… I hope you’ll join me. And I hope, whether you’re a reader or a writer, you’re enjoying the journey as much as I am.

Thanks for all your support so far, and as always…

Happy writing, Nikki x
