With the fifth – and last – short story in the #LoveLondon series released next Thursday, I suddenly realised that the majority of the stories are now out, with Picnics in Hyde Park – the full length novel that finishes the series – due out at the end of next month. The last six months (the first story was released in December) have absolutely flown by… it’s gone far too quickly!
It got me thinking about what the series is about. I guess it could be summarised as love and romance set against the beautiful, vibrant and diverse backdrop of our sparkling capital. But although every story is about romantic love in London, every story has been different because every couple has a unique love story. And so I’ve written about opposites attracting; choosing between two loves – one from the present and one from the past; love that grows out of friendship; love that starts with deception and misunderstanding like a modern day comedy of errors; rekindled first love and love that happens unexpectedly and heals old wounds. And I’ve had a blast. I really have. It’s been hard work and I’ve put in more late nights than I’d like to admit to, but it’s been a privilege to write these stories for HarperImpulse and receive such wonderful, overwhelming support from readers, fellow authors, reviewers and bloggers, something I will always be grateful for 🙂
Here’s a bit more about each book…
Start off with Noel and Holly when they meet while Skating at Somerset House. With a forty foot Christmas tree, an assortment of well meaning friends and relatives, and a mad chocolate Labrador, will this festive season be one to remember … or forget?
Follow feisty Frankie as she goes on a romantic scavenger hunt across Knightsbridge. But who is behind it and who will she choose when she spends New Year at The Ritz – old flame Christian or new admirer Zack?
Will Leo be left standing alone on the most romantic day of the year, or will scarred and scared Georgiana be brave enough to spend Valentine’s on Primrose Hill with him?
Join Sofia for Cocktails in Chelsea as she steps into a world that isn’t the one she’s used to. What will happen when she meets Nathan, a barman who detests everything she appears to be?
Have Strawberries at Wimbledon with Rayne where she runs into university ex-boyfriend Adam, and faces her past. First love – can you ever go back?
End the series with Matt and Zoe in Picnics in Hyde Park, the full length novel about revenge, guilt, loss, being on the rebound… and falling in love?
Happily my lovelies, I have many, many more stories to tell 🙂
Until next time, happy reading and writing.
