And now for something completely different…

I felt like a complete traitor when instead of flying the British flag on the Queen’s Jubilee day I was in France with my family, but hey, we are multi-cultural! (I’m half English, quarter French and quarter Italian, my husband is British and our kids… I can’t even try and work out the fractions for them).

We had a wet and windy half term in the wilds on Northern France – a nice little town called Antrain along the Normandy/Brittany border  – and yes, a lot of the time was spent playing monopoly and watching films and trying out the local cider, but we did also make it out to a few places, so I thought I’d share a few pictures with you…

Mont St Michel (where we ended up soaked)

St. Malo (where we ended up soaked but had a lovely three course meal complete with oysters, muscles, crepes and cider)

And I also had to share with you the champagne bottle that I found… it’s just about the right size – glug, glug, glug…

I’d be interested to know if anyone else has a photo of a bigger bottle of alcohol…

Don’t forget to drop in on Tuesday for the next guest post – Writing, Work and Wine With… Talli Roland.

Happy writing/holidaying etc

Nikki 🙂
